In design: looking for partners and supporters now
We bring healthcare to her door
Too many women in Bangladesh delay care because the clinic is too far, too expensive or too uncomfortable to visit. Our vision is simple: no woman should have to travel to a doctor to protect her health. Clinic on Wheels brings women's health services to their doorstep.
What it is
Clinic on Wheels is a mobile screening van equipped with basic screening equipment and staffed by a qualified medical professional. It travels to villages, urban slums and climate-affected areas to offer breast and cervical cancer screening, women's health check-ups and counselling, close to home.
Why screening
Breast and cervical cancer are among the leading causes of cancer death in women, yet both can be treated when found early. Alongside screening, we raise awareness about warning signs, breast self-awareness and HPV vaccination for girls, linking our adolescent work with lifelong health.
How a visit works
- Community awareness sessions before the van arrives
- Screening by a qualified medical professional on the van
- Counselling and health information
- Referral to partner hospitals for diagnosis and treatment
- Follow-up through trained community volunteers
Contributing to health for all
Clinic on Wheels advances Universal Health Coverage and last-mile primary health care for women, contributing to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.
